Dolen Cymru Wales-Lesotho Link - archives from the early years
This archive draws together materials from the founding of Dolen Cymru, the Wales Lesotho Link in 1985 - the world's first 'country to country' twinning. It also draws in materials from the years preceding Dolen's establishment, with relationships developed through Welsh UNICEF and Freedom from Hunger campaign projects; and also archives charting the growth of relationships between Wales and Lesotho in sectors such as health, education, agriculture, governance, culture and music, as well many personal relationships develop through this fascinating story from Welsh internationalist history. In 2025, Dolen turns 40 and Lesotho itself celebrates its 200th anniversary!
