'Wales for Africa' 2006-present
Welsh civil society charities and organisations have been linking communities in Wales and Africa for some decades - and from 2006, this momentum was recognised through the Welsh Government's 'Wales for Africa' programme, supported through WCIA's* International Development Hub (now Hub Cymru Africa) and WCVA's** MDGs Task Force. These digitised collections draw together key archival materials from the first 15 years of the Wales for Africa programme, including Wales Africa Community Links and the UN Gold Star Awards scheme, NHS Health Links, Dolen Cymru (Wales Lesotho Link) and the Hub itself.
