Malcolm Jones

Here the earliest memory of television is seeing the Coronation and Blackpool winning the Football Cup in 1953, and Stanley Matthews a hero. He refers to waiting until 1967 before buying a television set because he was worried about the influence of television on his children's Welsh. Discusses feelings on Welshness, Britishness and the Monarchy. The two referendums on devolution are mentioned, and the disappointment of the 1979 vote; he is proud of the growth by 97 and talks of the thrill of election night. He feels that S4C has succeeded to put a Welsh slant on international matters.
