This interviewee discusses the pleasure of watching history, geography, science programmes and the news. He remembers the worry on the faces of Aberfan residents that showed their feelings perfectly. Thinking back to the broadcasts of drowning Cwm Celyn he remembers people carrying furniture from their homes, and discusses the disgrace of the event and his admiration for the protesters. During the Coronation of Elizabeth II, he was in the army and had to take part in a march, but he is completely indifferent to the Monarchy on the whole. What he especially remembers from the Miners' Strike on television is the police violence, Margaret Thatcher, and McGregor hiding his face in a paper bag.
