Irene Roberts

The interviewee lived in London when the Aberfan disaster happened, but says that the event would have affected her more had she been living in Wales at the time. She was a member of the London Welsh Society choir and had been performing in the castle on the day of the Investiture in Caernarfon. She remembers being dismayed watching television later that the music had not had as much attention in the broadcast. She remembers worrying about security on the day. She has been to many rugby matches in the 1970s, and says that nothing compares to the atmosphere of a rugby match. She had not followed the Devolution debates particularly. She watches musical programmes on S4C and follows Pobol y Cwm.
