The interviewee remembers going to different chapel members' houses to watch football in the early 1950s. Says that Sky has had an effect on the social element of television as before you had to go somewhere to watch sports.Watched the Investiture but supported the protests. Remembers being shocked to see some supporting in the months before the ceremony, some that were objecting were portrayed as rebels rather than as people with sensible arguments. Thinks that the lack of attention to Wales is common in the British media. In Wrexham many people turn their aerials to receive broadcasts from the north of England.Believes that listening to rugby on the radio is more exciting thean watching it on television. Followed the Devolution debates and remembers the dismay of 1979. Says that personal prejudices not based on fact colour debates on television, the broadcasting was more even in 1997. Thinks that the Carmarthen result was kept back on purpose.Believes that Arthur Scargill's extremism had affected the Miners' Strike and that the media jump on extremist stories.
