Welsh Costume: Cambrian Costumes, postcards

A set of 12 postcards of all the Cambrian Costume prints except no. 13 were printed by Oxford University Press and published by the National Library of Wales by 1947.
A note about the acquisition of the original watercolours, which were given to the Library in January, 1942, suggests that postcards were produced soon after acquisition:
'An interesting gift … consisting of the original drawings of the now well-known set of Lady Llanover's 'Cambrian Costumes' … Reproductions of these are available at the Library'
(Anon, Journal of the National Library of Wales, (1947), p. 156)

At least five other editions of the same set of postcards were published by the National Library of Wales during the 1970s and possibly subsequently but without any printer’s details: some editions included the postcard number (from 117 to 128) on the front. The format of the printer’s and the publisher’s details and the layout on the reverse varied. These postcards were for sale in the National Library until about 2015.
