Urban Meadow Collection

In 2014, National Museum Cardiff created an Urban Meadow on the Museum grounds to provide a natural haven for local wildlife within the urban landscape. We hope our meadow will attract bees and other pollinators into the city centre. We also have our own beehives on the roof of the Museum that are cared for by our staff. Our three hives contain approximately 90,000 bees between them.
This teaching pack is designed to support teachers and educators in preparing for a self-led visit to National Museum Cardiff, but can also be used to support learning inside and outside of the classroom. There are lots of ideas and activities to explore before your visit, at the Museum, and back at school. There is also a resources section at the back of the pack with worksheets and activities.
