Description
Neath Abbey was founded by Richard de Granville in 1130 and was dissolved in 1539. A Tudor mansion was later built on the site, with 18th century industrial workings colonising other areas.
The 13th century undercroft shown in this photograph is the most stunning of the surviving features of the abbey.
