Description

John mentions that the men have returned with all sorts of food including sugar and sheep. The wet weather has arrived and it has been raining for three days. John W. Jones has been suffering from the fever [often referred to as 'ague'] every other day although he's not feeling any worse.

John mentions that he received a letter from Wales while he was writing this letter. He had written to them after the battle in Vicksburg but he asks his parents to send his regards and to say that he's healthy and in high spirit. He asks them to tell Uncle Owen and Uncle John to send a letter to his Grandfather.
