Description
Scientific Name:Morchella conica
Fungi facts:The conic Morels are a group of Morels with a conical shaped cap. They occur in woodlands, woodchip or on fire sites. The cap is honeycomb like in appearance and it is from these fertile pits in-between the sterile ridges that the spores are released. The Morels are edible and highly sought after but have to be thoroughly cooked before eating.
