Description
During the 28th September 1909, very heavy rain fell over a wide area of Glamorgan, resulting in rivers and streams rising rapidly, then overflowing, causing flooding and damage to many valley communities and also to the main towns situated at the mouths of the valleys.
This photograph shows the aftermath in the village of Glyncorrwg, where a policeman sifts through the debris of items which had been washed down the Afan Valley.
