Note 2: (Written in 1902) The Roman Catholic Church of the Holy Conception, Scwrfa, was reopened on Sunday, November 11th, 1900, after undergoing extensive alterations and improvements, at a total cost of about £700. The contractors were Messrs Sullivan and Jones, Merthyr.
