Description

This picture shows Mrs. G. Lysaght planting a tree outside the Lysaght Institute. It is not known why this tree was planted or any significance attached to this tree. This tree is still standing today, although it is no longer within the grounds of the Institute. In the summer this tree provides welcome shade in our courtyard area. This tree can be seen as one drives along past the rear of the Institute along the Southern Distributor Road. It has been made possible to share this photograph with thanks to the national Lottery Heritage Fund.
