Edward Hopkins Sworn says - I am a Police Officer of
Newport - I did not apprehend the Prisoner - the articles
now produced were delivered to me by Mr John O'Dwyer and
are now in the same state as when I recieved them - I know
nothing of the Prisoner - The articles now produced have
been in my possession ever since I recieved them from Mr
O'Dwyer - the charge of Powder in the Pistol was so wet
that I could not get it out - I think the Pistol is loaded
with a bullet. -
