Dilys Jones talks about her grandfather, Richard Lewis Jones, Penwenallt, Cwm Coy, Newcastle Emlyn, drawing on R. L.'s papers and the diaries he kept between 1915-1932.
This talk (in Welsh) looks at his contribution to his farming community in the south of Cardiganshire between the two world wars, including the story of his tenancy at Penwenallt farm and his contribution to the national effort to increase milk production, establishing a dairy at Newcastle Emlyn in 1920 and taking part in the Welsh Plant Breeding Station's trials as well as has his later contribution to the Royal Welsh show, as vice president and director of livestock, including his involvement in establishing a permanent site for the show in Builth Wells (1960).
