Description

The photograph was taken from Duncan Street with The Globe, now Globe House, on the left and Raven House , long demolished, on the right. The Town Hall renovations recorded here are probably those of 1909.
Laugharne Corporation Minutes record the following renovations between 1890 and 1909:
September 1891 - work done to the roof and cupola of the Clock Tower, including slates , battens and rafters. Work carried out by John Jones.
1896 - new clock costing 70 guineas installed.
1909 - John Jones renovated the Clock Tower and reguilded the Weather Cock. 1906-1908: "Extensive work done".
