Description

This photograph would have been taken from or near the Boat House looking downstream with Sir John's Hill in the background. The number of small boats is an indication of Laugharne's strong links with the river and the sea. The photographer, Alexander Pearson, was a solicitor from Westmoreland, who owned the lease on the Boat House between 1893 and 1905. He may well have rented it during the summer months before those dates.
