Description

This is a photograph of the carving by Harry Comley entitled the Scroll. It was commissioned by father Cunnane in the late 1980s in order to adorn the Altar built in the Ursula Order of Nuns convent in Cardigan, west Wales. The Nuns supported the work of the Father at the Our Lady of the Taper church. Harry used three pieces of wood to create a plinth that depicts a scroll. The scroll remains in place at the convent today and is used daily as a focal point for prayer.
