Description

Wallace Gunn's television work shop. 1940's. Top right is the oscilloscope and is a device that engineers use to visualize and measure electrical signals over time. it's a crucial tool for designing, manufacturing and repairing electronic equipment. He made some of the equipment in the photograph himself and built the first television in his village using the tube from an old oscilloscope. The screen was six inches and purple in colour.
