Description

This is a three storeyed house with three front gables that has fine entrance gates. It is a grade 2 listed building and recognised as one of the best architectural and highly finished houses in the Vale. It was built between around 1530 by James Turberville. When the Nicholls family took it over, Illtyd Nicholl, rector of Llanmaes from 1699 to 1733, remodelled into its present general form. It remained a rectory for four generations of Nicholls.
