Royal Commission on the Ancient and Historical Monuments of Wales's profile picture
It is an aerial view of the site of the colliery which closed in 1990. Apparently the sculpture is of a pit pony called Sultan and is the largest figurative earth sculpture in the UK. The colliery still has buildings and headframes.
