Description
This was developed between 1965 and 1970. It is a small metal canister to be attached to a mineworker's belt which contained a mouth piece and chemicals. The self rescuer enabled a person to breath properly in an atmosphere contaminated by carbon dioxide, such as that which existed after a mine explosion.
