Description

Horses have been used in coal mining since the early days of the industry. They transported coal from the collieries to the customer, powered winding and pumping engines and, most importantly, moved coal from the colliers' working places to the shaft. This particular head harness is made of very thick leather and has metal guards to protect the horse's eyes.
