Description

This is a statement from Ann Clwyd, the Welsh Euro MP, announcing the setting up of a European think-tank to protect the EEC's minority languages, including Welsh. A defence fund of £56,000 has been set aside. The think-tank has all party support and the money is to be used to support projects in the various countries. Several enquiries from Wales have already been received. Ann made notes on her statement about a 4th TV channel, the Welsh Language Act and loopholes.
