Description

The winter of 1963 was a bitterly cold, snowy time. This photo shows the depth of snow outside a prefabricated bungalow in Penyrheol Caerffili.
We survived winters like this without central heating, just an open coal fire to heat the entire house. The older boy pictured is Brain Williams, the younger is Richard Williams.
