Dr Mary Eppynt Phillips was a physician with the Scottish Women's Hospital across Europe, including in the town of Valjevo in Serbia. This article from the Yorkshire Post describes the town, hospitals in surrounding towns and the impact of the Austrian invasion of the area in 1914.
