Description

Fowlers was one of the largest stores in Pontypool, and had several stores around the town. This one was on George Street and the building is known as Lion House, having formerly been The White Lion tavern. Fowlers operated until the 1970's.

My mum used to tell me that Fowler's was owned by some one in her family - I am trying to track down the connection. Her grandmother was a Fowler and her gt grandfather was a draper but still trying to crack the connection!
