Description
1867 grave in memory to of Ann Jones in area A at St John's church, Ysbyty Cynfyn (A15). See plan for area A for the grave's location in the graveyard.
The inscription reads: ER/ COFFADWRIAETH/ AM/ ANN JONES,/ GWRAIG THOMAS JONES/ Cyife, Plwyf Llanfihang-/ el Croyddyn, yr hon a fu/ farw Rhagfyr 17eg 1867./ yn 62 Mlwydd oed./ Oer dŷ hagar llygredigaeth, - annedd/ Unig heb gwmniaeth;/ Ond pryfyn'r hwn fyn faeth,/ Dyma wely dynoliaeth./ BYDDWCH CHWITHAU BAROD
BYDDWCH CHWITHAU BAROD carved along the bottom. Flatslab a sqaure piece of stone with raised piece in centre to look like the top of the coffin. Wife to A14 and mother to A16 and A17. Decoration same as A14.
This grave was photographed as part of a Graveyard Survey carried out with the help of volunteers in 2013.
