Description

Ingredients



  • approximately one pint skim-milk

  • one tablespoonful oatmeal

  • a little cold water

  • a pinch of salt



Method



  • Pour the skim-milk into a saucepan and bring it to the boil.

  • Blend the oatmeal with cold water and pour it into the milk when boiling.

  • Add a little salt, stir and bring it back to the boil.



A dish served for breakfast or supper, usually.

Twym llaeth was the name given to the same dish in parts of Carmarthenshire.
