Description
An early view of Aberavon Beach and the Jersey Beach Hotel constructed c.1900, prior to building the Esplanade in 1902. Popular with visitors since the 1850s when the Cambrian newspaper considered the beach with its flat golden sands, free from dangerous rocks, and an 'ideal sea bathing place'.
