Description

On 24th July 1999, seven members of the Puget Sound Welsh Association, Carolyn Bell, Jackie Cedarholm, Brian Parry, Gerri Parry, David Powell, Mary Powell and Robert Morgan Smith gathered at Marshland Cemetery in Snohomish County Washington State to “read’ this Cemetery and record graves of Welsh interest. David Powell a member of this group was raised in this area and had several relatives buried there. At one time there was a large Welsh community in the Snohomish Valley, and a Welsh Church in Maltby town. Most of his history has been lost. In reading the cemetery, each grave was assigned a number; multiple burials within one location were assigned a lower case letter. For convenience the cemetery was divided into 5 sectors A through E. The plan shows site relationships and grave numbers. This is file number psw01004 in the Welsh Heritage Center archive ( see below)
