Description

Watercolour painting of 'The Cauldron of Rebirth', which features in the Four Branches of the Mabinogi, created by Margaret Jones to illustrate Gwyn Thomas' 'Tales from the Mabinogion'.

According to the story of Branwen the Daughter of Llŷr, the cauldron of rebirth had magical powers; dead men would be thrown in and come out alive and strong, but mute.
