Rag Week fun aims to raise £4,000

RAG Week is here!

Until Friday, Cardiff Rag is pulling out all the stops to raise money for four local and national charities.

Last year Rag Week raised more than £3,000 and with this year's target set at £4,000, it promises to be the best ever.

This year the chosen charities are the Noah's Ark Appeal for a children's hospital in Wales, the Echo-backed Ty Hafan hospice for terminally ill children, the Anthony Nolan Bone Marrow Trust and the Muscular Dystrophy Campaign.

It all kicked off on Saturday with a sponsored bungee jump at Talybont.

Tonight sees a huge drinking game in Reds nightclub where, like a stock exchange, bar prices fluctuate according to supply and demand for drinks and there are of course the obligatory market crashes when prices hit rock bottom. Other events include a two-day beer festival on Wednesday and Thursday.

As a finale on Friday, the Rag Crew is hitting the union and lecture theatres around the university in a Cardiff-wide hijack.
