Description
A poster advertising Summer Trips on the River Thames during the 1899 season.
Salter Bros, Boat Builders of Oxford wedi running Saloon Steamers daily between Oxford, Henley, Windsor and Kensington between May 15 and September 30, 1899.
There was a list of where tickets and full information could be obtained, apart from on the steamers themselves, namely:
London, Manchester, Birmingham, Abingdon, Reading, Henley, Marlow, Maidenhead, Windsor, East Molesley, Kingston and Salter Brothers, Boat Builders, Oxford.
Circular Trips could also be made with combined Railway and Steamer Tickets, and these tickets were issued to travel first, second or third class by the Railway, but Tickets of either class were available on any part of the Steamers.
Thos. Cook & Son had made arrangements for Trips of two or more days in connection with these Steamers, and issued Tickets to include Rail, Steamer and Hotel accommodation,
