Neath Borough Police Force, established in 1836, was amalgamated into the Glamorganshire Constabulary in 1947.

At times this was badge used as a 'cap badge' by the Neath Borough Special Constabulary. However, this badge is primarily one of a pair, worn on the shoulder epaulettes or single as a belt buckle plate badge.
