Description
In this letter to F. A. Legg, Captain Trewren notes that he is aware that Legg received 'a memorial' from the miners in which they gave their version of events at the mine. Trewren says that Legg can now judge for himself 'whether they were fairly treated or not'. He explains that Owen Roberts's bargain was refused by the men and was allowed to remain idle for a few minutes. However, two Cornishmen then asked whether the bargain was idle or not.
