Description

This large tapestry of The Ladies of Llangollen was commissioned by General Yorke in the 1880s. General Yorke was the owner of Plas Newydd, the former home of The Ladies, from 1876 to 1890. The tapestry features a reverse image of a popular lithograph of The Ladies by J. H. Lynch.
