Description

Small china cup with two coloured transfer prints of Welsh costume. The heads and baskets are covered in lustrous glaze. Neither of of the images are known in any prints.
(1) 'SOUTH WALES' Group of five women in front of a stone wall. Three have baskets of laundry on their heads; a fourth has a basket in her arms. One is wearing a Welsh hat.
(2) 'WELSH COSTUMES'. Two women in Welsh hats and two men. There are three large baskets full of fruit or possibly logs.
size: height 6.7 cms.
No maker's mark.
