Description
Gwaun-cae-gurwen, Waun Crossing c 1904, looking north.
Post card contributed by David Smith, Feb 2003
Note the crossing gates are controlled manually, and the lamp post (gas lit presumably?), also Incline House in the mid distance (to the left). The viaducts are not yet built and the Incline is still in use. The road to Garnant is dead centre, and the one to Brynamman is sharp right. Using a magnifying glass shows a horse and cart in the distance on the Garnant road.
