My grandfather was the restaurateur at the Empire Restaurant in the 1911 census for Dunraven Street.

Further to my comment on 12/09/2011 I also have a silk programme from the 'Grand Opening' of the the Empire Theatre of Varieties on Monday November 15th 1909 together with a lifetime pass for my grandfather 'Harry Bolton and any member of Family to any performance in perpetuity'. I remember watching many films, musicals, and pantomimes at The Empire. I remember the sweet shop next door as well.. I watched it being demolished, and Woolworths being built in it's place.
