Description

The marine life found on the CARTAGENA is dominated by filter-feeding plumnose anemones. The plumose anemone captures food from the water with its tentacles. The food largely comprises zooplankton such as copepods and the larvae of other species.

This photograph reveals the clusters of anemones that were found on the ladder that led from the main deck up onto the forecastle and the former location of the forward gun.
